Many of you know that Logan plays the piano and the violin, however, did you you know he also plays the electric guitar? Yes, Logan got his first electric guitar about three years ago. He started playing in the East High Jazz Band this year and is officially the East High School Jazz Band Guitarist. He totally enjoys the band class and has a great music teacher that has really helped him. Logan is also taking private guitar lessons now (in addition to piano and violin). Somehow, he manages to practice all three instruments each day which can be up to 3 hours of practicing a day. He achieves good grades at school, and is involved in church, scouts and sports.
Now please don't think I'm one of those over achiever moms because this is totally Logan's choice. Logan wants to play three instruments and as long has he practices without me having to nag him than we totally support him. Music is his life and he is so very talented. He works really hard and practices a lot. You can tell when he plays any of his instruments that it is truly something he loves, not just something he has to do.
Oh... and he still manages to play several hours of computer/video games and hang out with his many friends daily.
The EHS Jazz Band also performs as the Pep Band at the basketball and football games.
