Bird and Bird-Bird

Bird-Bird

Bird

Bird and Bird-Bird

We have added a new member to our family. Yes, we adopted another cockatiel bird. We adopted our first cockatiel about a year and a half ago. He is a Cinnamon Pied and is beautiful. He usually goes by the name of Bird, however, we also refer to him as Ace.
Now the thing is, when you only have one bird, they can tend to get kind of lonely. We have always given Bird a lot of love and attention, however, we (okay, mostly me) made the decision that he really needed a friend. I've been watching the KSL Ads for awhile to find a bird and came across one last weekend for a good price. He's a Lutino so he is mostly white, with a little gray on his wings and yellow head. He's a pretty bird.
Logan and I went and met him and adored him instantly. He has a bit of an attitude, okay... a really big attitude (but dang cute). He's about 2&1/2 years old and he originally came from a breeder and was currently at a lady's house with about 50 other birds, mostly parrots and parakeets. She said his name was Bird-Bird, or sometimes was also refereed to as Harley.
We broght him home and he was really scared. It's obvious he hasn't been in a loving environment before. We've had him for a week now and he has already mellowed out a lot. The two birds are already best friends and they really keep each other company. Eventually we'll put them in the same cage, however, for a few months while they are getting used to each other they are separated.
I never really thought I could enjoy a couple of little birds so much, however, we really do enjoy them and they bring a lot of happiness into our home.
